A conceptual flamenco piece negotiating the boundary between celebration and performance outside traditional flamenco contexts. It invites participants to engage with the communal world of flamenco, allowing the audience to influence what happens and how it sounds. Touring since 2021 in schools and performing arts venues. Upcoming school tour in Sörmland with 44 performances in 2026 as part of Scenkonst Sörmland.

A sensory experience course for babies aged 4–15 months. The room is a sensory installation, with movements, sounds, and materials ready to be explored. The babies direct their attention, and the facilitators follow, creating a listening space. Spring 2025-autumn 2025, supported by Järfälla Culture School.

 Event/Horizons - performance + QR-utställning på Tensta Dansar 2022
  
Event/Horizons - Stockholm is a Q(a)R(T) exhibition and a QR Performance. Live       performance, remote dialogue and audience participation are embedded in the exhibition. An opportunity for the audience to be involved in shaping something that we didn't know existed. An exploration of next-generation methodology.

In the Q(a)R(T) exhibition, participants meet dance artists from different parts of       the world using their mobile phones and headphones.

Background QR performance:

For 13 months, Tanja Tuurala, Stockholm and Harpa Dögg Kjartansdóttir, Reykjavik had an online process entitled 13 Exchanges, where they used digital technology as a tool for their process. 13 Exchange's online process consisted of an exchange of movements and image and form material. The exchange was based on an openness to each other's ideas and direction.

QR performance is now in a new phase of Tanja and Harpa's process.

A collaboration with choreographers around the world.

This innovative week-long event is the brainchild of Athens resident choreographer Ana Sánchez-Colberg. We are connecting seven urban sites in seven different time zones through live streaming with shared audio and improvisational scores.

Tanja Tuurala is participating with a `Road trip´ which connects the mundane to the community and local and to the transnational and global participation through dance and movement, social network, sound.

Övning I omvandling,del 2 (excercise in transformation part 2) - Salong Tensta. January 2014 - Performance and workshop with and by dance worker Tanja Tuurala, that examines the theme of resistance. What happens with art that departs from other questions that entertainment.

The interactive performance takes its starting point in the artwork Time_Space Shuttle, Apollo Pavilion by Peter Geschwind and Thomas Elovsson. The sculpture represents a place for a common history that binds us together.

FLAMEN_Co 2 x 1 
Two artists, Tanja Tuurala from Stockholm, Sweden and Olga Chalkidou from Athens, Greece create an artistic dialogue as part of a two-week studio based research project. The project is taking place in both countries. The dialogue focuses on their mutual interest: flamenco in dialogue with contemporary dance and the aspects of meeting. It is a dialogue between two artists with a shared interest but who bring different approaches and personal resources. 2011

Soleá Online 2008-2009 
Soleá Online investigated a flamenco dance, choreography and music collaboration, made possible and at the same time distanced by the internet. In the process and in the performance act. Is the human alone or together in the virtual world? The project was realized through a colaboration between flamencoartists from three countries: Finland, Sweden and Spain.
